Foot Mobilisation Techniques (FMT)

Foot Mobilisation Techniques involves finding and treating the cause of your pain rather than just the symptoms, by individually assessing each bone and joint in the foot and ankle and using your own body’s natural repair process to reduce pain and improve foot posture.

This process uses very gentle, passive movements expertly carried out by our well trained Podiatrists and can be used to help conditions including:

  • Heel Pain
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Bunions
  • Forefoot Pain
  • Hammer Toes/Claw Toes
  • Ankle Pain and stiffness
  • Mid foot Pain and stiffness
  • Arch pain
  • Neuromas and More!

These sequences of small movements are quick and can form part of your individualised management plan. Often, at home exercises will also be prescribed to help maintain joint mobility. FMT can be applied during most consultations.
